I was hopeful that 3 years to the day later we would be blessed again with another beautiful child but Kaya Moya chose to arrive at 12:18AM on 07/08/2010 or about 20 minutes late for the exact day but close enough I suppose.

Kaya was born weighing in at 8lbs 14ozs with what appears to be a head full of blondish hair like her mother Elise Moya and her older brother Robert Nesta Moya. The name Kaya was derived from on of dad’s favorite songs by Robert Nesta “Bob” Marley, from the album of the same name originally released on March 23, 1978 as the 13th album from the Wailers.

Kaya by Robert Nesta Marley

Kaya was born in Florida but inspired by our love of Jamaica and the beautiful time we had there. Kaya is the only member of the family who has not been to Bobs memorial in Jamaica so we will will have to plan her trip there as soon as possible.

Wake up and turn I loose!

I knew oil was everywhere and I knew products like shampoo were dangerous to say the least but this article on how pervasive oil and plastic are is simply shocking. I suppose I did not realize how many petrochemicals were already ingested in the food and supplements we consume.

Does anyone else think its scary to know there are over 200 petrochemicals in the average American?

Boycott Big Oil? Prepare to give up your lifestyle – Yahoo! News

Ready to park the car and take up bike-riding or walking? Well, your bike and your sneakers have petroleum products in them. And sure, you can curb energy use by shutting off the AC, but the electric fans you switch to have plastic from oil and gas in them. And the insulation to keep your home cool, also started as oil and gas. Without all that, you’ll sweat and it’ll be all too noticeable because deodorant comes from oil and gas too.

You can’t even escape petroleum products with a nice cool fast-food milkshake — which probably has a petrochemical-based thickener.

Oil is everywhere. It’s in carpeting, furniture, computers and clothing. It’s in the most personal of products like toothpaste, shaving cream, lipstick and vitamin capsules. Petrochemicals are the glue of our modern lives and even in glue, too.

Because of that, petrochemicals are in our blood.

When the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention tested humans for environmental chemicals and metals, it recorded 212 different compounds. More than 180 of them are products that started as natural gas or oil.

“It’s the material basis of our society essentially,” said Michael Wilson, a research scientist at the University of California Berkeley. “This is the Petrochemical Age.”

Louisiana State University environmental sciences professor Ed Overton, who works with the government on oil spill chemistry, said: “There’s nothing that we do on a daily basis that isn’t touched by petrochemicals.”

When in the movie “The Graduate” young Benjamin is given advice about the future, it comes in one word: plastics. About 93 percent of American plastics start with natural gas or oil.

“Just about anything that’s not iron or steel or metal of some sort has some petrochemical component. And that’s just because of what we’ve been able to do with it,” said West Virginia University chemistry professor Dady Dadyburjor.

Nothing shows how pervasive and malleable petrochemicals are better than shampoo, said Kevin Swift, director of economics and statistics for the American Chemistry Council, the chemical industry’s trade association. The bottle is plastic. The cap is plastic. The seal and the label, too. The ink comes from petrochemicals and even the glue that holds the label to the bottle comes from oil or gas.

“The shampoo — it’s all derived from petrochemicals,” Swift said. “A bottle of shampoo is about 100 percent chemistry.”

Just add a bit of natural fragrance.

The Gulf Oil Spill is by far the most horrible environmental disaster I could ever imagine. Having spent almost my entire life in South Florida and the Caribbean I am bonded to the oceans of our world in a way I can barely explain. Some of my earliest memories from childhood are of my days swimming the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico anywhere from the beaches of Key West to the coastline of Florida and often many miles offshore in a boat.

My years in Ocala are the furthest I have ever lived from the ocean and I am but 30 to 40 minutes from Daytona Beach if the rivers and lakes around here are not enough to satisfy my need to be around water. To be honest I can’t imagine life without the ocean and the idea we may have now lost the entire Gulf of Mexico and most likely portions of the Caribbean as well has been the most sickening news of my existence. I don’t think that all of the wars since my birth and the devastation they brought to us in a combined effect would be the same as the loss of so much in the Gulf.

For the millions of human lives lost in wars I have far less pain and anguish than I do for the countless millions of marine animals lost in the Gulf Oil Spill at the hand of British Petroleum or BP as they are known. When we humans pick up arms and kill each other it is sick but self inflicted but when we humans kill nature and destroy so much wildlife is is far sicker. There is no amount of money that can replace what has been lost to all of us already in this oil spill and the potential loss of life is absolutely staggering when you consider this hole in the ground is still spewing unknown amounts of deadly poisons into the ocean and it could continue to do so for months.

Mark my words this is not over and sadly I feel it has only just begun. Even if they plugged the hole today where do you think all of this oil will end up? Do you suppose they will be able to clean it up or is it but a matter of time before it breaks up and floats all over the world? Everyone from Florida to Texas is worried about their coastline because they can see the oil on the horizon but in my opinion countries as far as Cuba and even Jamaica should be making plans for how to deal with the oil spill clean up because it is inevitable that it will reach these poorer less developed nations that lack clean up technology and equipment.

If Jamaica thinks things are bad now wait for the day when the white sands of Negril are covered in black tar balls and you will then see what real economic destruction is. The entire Caribbean relies on the crystal clear waters and clean sandy beaches and when this pollution reaches the shores of these countries where do you think tourists will go? The Bahamas will most likely be safe for quite some time but inevitably they too will have tar balls from the Gulf Oil Spill. There is no way around it, this oil spill clean up will absolutely never clean up all of the oil and it will gunk up the beaches of the South East United States, Mexico, the entire Caribbean and part of Central and South America as well.

Dead birds, fish and marine mammals have begun to was ashore and the death toll looks to be far worse than anyone of us could imagine. When Exxon Valdez struck the one saving grace was the total volume of oil was capped at the ships capacity but the Gulf Oil Spill knows no boundaries and could potentially spew for as long as 90 days in total. The wildlife in Alaska suffered greatly but there was an end in sight and although the loss of life was incredible they were able to save a large number of animals. It seems this time around the animals are showing up dead and there have been far fewer rescues at this point. Alaska is a sensitive region and the loss of any life is sad but the fragile nature of the coastal wetlands and their vital importance to the seafood chain is what makes this such a more devastating disaster. The Wall Street Journal law blog wrote about the rights of animals affected by the Gulf Oil Spill and basically the poor lowly creatures have no rights and there is no retribution legally for humans who commit crimes against nature.

British Petroleum has been lying about the total amount of oil spilled and continues to try to protect themselves and their shareholders to the point that they have angered the White House. What exactly that means is a unknown but apparently the government is now upset over what has happened. With the cozy relationship the oil companies have with government officials we all know that no one will actually get in trouble over this and at worst it will cost a few billion in lost profits which they can easily make up next year.

The only way we can make them pay is to Boycott BP Oil and ban them from offshore drilling in America. These people are obviously not capable of managing their offshore operations and their total lack of planning and preparation has been much of the problem. I have made a personal commitment to not only Boycott BP but I will also make a concerted effort to cut back on our fuel consumption in any way possible. As American we all share some responsibility for this disaster with our insatiable appetite for oil and petroleum products. I pulled into a BP gas station a few days back and realized I don’t want to spend my money with those people and the thought actually crossed my mind to pickup a can of oil from the rack nearby and spill it out on the floor of their retail store. What could they do? Arrest me for spilling a quart of oil?

If I were to gather a group of like minded people and we formed a coalition that did many wonderful things but at the same time was responsible for protecting members who committed violent acts against children and other innocent victims from legal action I would most definitely and with good reason be charged with crimes against humanity and sentenced to a suitable punishment which may actually be death and I would deserve it.

Now the Pope has done the exact same thing and we are supposed to accept his apology and trust that this man is doing what is best for us. How powerful is the Church that the man pictured above is going to get away with a cover up that has lasted decades and is directly responsible for the rape and abuse of so many other children?

Are we supposed to forgive him and the other Cardinals, Bishops and Pedophile Priests who rape little boys because they ask us too? Does forgiveness go so far as to allow these people to have committed these crimes over the the span of so many years? Is God going to deal with them in such a way as to make amends for the pain and suffering they have caused to so many innocent believers?

When a child is abducted on the streets of America and raped or murdered the first thing anyone calls for is blood. We demand these criminals face the law and pay for their crimes. Pedophiles and child rapists are the lowest form of human and deserving of little more than a single gunshot to the skull in my opinion but this guy is allowed to rule over the one of the largest and most powerful organizations ever to exist. How is that? Must faith be so blind?

The Roman Catholic Church is by far one of the most powerful and wealthiest groups ever formed with their own autonomous nation, powerful yet corrupt bank and billions of followers and their newly crowned leader, Joseph Ratzinger, allowed the continued rape and abuse of young parishioners simply to avoid the controversy and to save the name of this once illustrious syndicate.

It is so easy to see the comparisons between the Church and the Mafia. The Pope is the Godfather and he wields his power much like any gang leader or crime boss. The Church will squash any and all resistance as the have for millennia and they are considered above the law in every nation. The Roman Catholic Church is an Organized Crime Syndicate responsible for the most heinous of crimes and the Pope should face charges for his actions to cover up the abuse scandals which have lead to the further abuse of innocent followers.

Please do not believe me! Please do your own research and follow some of the links in this article. Read the history of the Roman Catholic Church and the many lies, scandals and crimes they have covered up and then ask yourself how far will you follow these criminals?

Please remember my issue is less with God and more about the crooks who claim to follow him!

Many of my friends and family will ask me how I can make a video like this and my answer would be that although I must be fucked up to make the video the most heinous things about it is the fact Jesus let it happen!!

WWJD? Some will take this to mean What would Jesus do? I wonder something different. What was Jesus doing? I mean was he too busy to notice these children suffering or was there some justification to the death of innocent children?

See the reason I ask is because it baffles my mind that the Lord and Creator would not only allow something like this but he seemingly endorses it with the fact it happens so often.

What benevolent God allows his children to suffer in such a way? What kind of people follow this kind of leader? WWJD? What was Jesus doing while these children suffered?

EDIT:
I just want to add that I love you and Jesus as much as I love everyone. It’s not about not believing but about not understanding. Can someone please explain why children must suffer the worst things imaginable?

Here is an excellent documentary on Monsanto and the incredible power they have over the food we eat. As shocking as this is when I found out that George Bush and Donald Rumsfeld were a part of things I knew it was really bad. If Donald is a part of things then you know it’s evil. Few of us realize what it is we are eating and who it is that is controlling the supply.

For most of my young life I can remember my grandmother, who was such a huge part of my childhood and the man I have become, preaching to me about how “”everything causes cancer”". I used to think it was strange how just about anything from soda and candy to my first tattoo and even body piercings was sure to doom me with cancer. I remember when I got my tongue pierced and she told me I was going to get cancer I though she was loony. Little did I realize just how smart she was.

I always thought her fears were unfounded and I never understood why she was so scared of cancer until after she passed at the age of 93 back in 2003. As I aged and became a more mature person I came to realize where her fears came from. My grandmother was born in 1910 and lived through the “Great Depression” and both “World Wars” and long enough to have seen what cancer has done to America and humans in general over the past century.

I do not know the statistics but I do know that fewer of us died from cancers and many of the other health conditions that we face today than we did 100 years ago. I know that as my grandmother grew older she saw more and more friends and family members pass away from cancers and this was where her fear came from. She must have known it was getting worse and worse and she must have realized it was our unhealthy and unnatural lifestyles that were killing us and I am certain she was right. She knew and she was trying to warn us. Everything causes cancer!.

We are poisoning ourselves with chemicals that we consume and cover ourselves with. We are dying from the unnatural eating habits and processed foods we so love. We are actually contaminating our gene pool with chemicals in the body and our environment that are producing an alarming number of genetic defects such as autism, down syndrome, childhood cancers and other debilitating or deadly ailments and we all seem oblivious to it.

I watch health freaks jog for miles, and cyclists pedal for days and weight lifters move a mountain in the name of healthy living and then take a shower with a chemical concoction of unpronounceable and unnatural ingredients with complete faith in the faceless corporation that produces it for us. These same people will spend hours and hours trying to perfect their bodies through supposed healthy living but they’ll also spend hours and hours sunbathing or tanning in a booth for the sake of tan skin to enhance those healthy images. Soaps, shampoos, perfumes and tanning booths cause cancer.

To perspire is a natural body function necessary for healthy people. Antiperspirant is designed to stop a natural and necessary process. Deodorants and antiperspirants contain aluminum and other contaminants which we place directly on the open pours of our body where they are immediately introduced to the blood stream. My mother in law developed cancer of the lymph nodes and the doctors had to chop into her armpits to remove the rust. I do not wear deodorant because I’m scared of cancer and if you can smell me you are standing to close and you need to step back up anyway. Deodorants and antiperspirants cause cancer.

Health conscious people will spend a fortune on organic foods and vegetarian meals so they can prolong their lives and end up covered in toxins from the chemtrails we breathe and the fluoride infused water that we drink because they trust that no one is out to intentionally harm or poison them. Our polluted environment causes cancer.

Every morning millions of kids wake up and pour out a bowl of vitamin enriched corn and cow mucus and they call it breakfast. Breakfast is the “breaking of the fast” our body experiences as we sleep and is known to be the most important meal of the day. Why does your breakfast food need to be enriched? It doesn’t? Good food has nutrients in it by nature and does not require chemical enrichment for nutritional value. Human babies need milk but they don’t need it from a cow or a can of simulated milk like Similac (Simulated Lactation). Babies need mothers milk from the mothers breast for at least the first year of life and that’s it. How can it be that by nature a human baby must consume animals milk? They don’t, it’s a scam. No one needs Vitamin D enriched cows milk. They just want us to buy it from them so they promise it’s ok, but its not. The antibiotics, genetic modifications and growth hormones that all cows have been infected with are destroying our abilities to heal ourselves and made us reliant upon the pill pushers to supply us with corporate owned vitamins and nutrient supplements to help us live. Cows milk and baby formula causes cancer.

Do you now why Americans eat so much corn? It’s not because of health reasons but instead the farm subsidies paid for by US taxpayers which makes corn the cheapest food in the world. Vitamin enriched corn and corn syrup make up a HUGE part of the American diet and only for the reason that politicians get to keep their cushy jobs by paying off the lazy ass farmers who need government assistance to do their jobs properly. Processed food and corn products cause cancer.

My wife pours salt on everything she eats. She says she has to in order to taste it. I think that salt is a primary factory in the poor health so many of us face. I know that salt has powerful properties and it can be used to generate electricity in batteries but it is also caustic and can rust an iron ship into nothing over time. Iron is an important ingredient in human health and when we eat mass amounts of salt we upset the chemical balance of the body. Salt is rusting our bodies from the inside out.

This chemical imbalance caused by salt is similar to the PH balance of a pool. If the body has to much salt then it becomes alkaline and a breeding ground for cancerous cells. Do they tell you that at Fast Food restaurants when they saturate the french fries in table salt? NO, they claim not to know but it’s a lie. They know the food they serve us is killing us. They just don’t care. Iodized Salt causes cancer.

What can you do? Not much but try to live a health lifestyle and stay away from toxic cities where the air you breathe and water you drink are contaminated. The environmental toxins are almost unavoidable and about all we can do is be aware and take a stand as often as possible. Stop buying the poisons they sell and stop pouring them all over and into our bodies. Stop bathing, eating or anyway exposing yourself to chemicals. Read the ingredients and stop eating the poison. If you cannot spell it you should not eat.

True Rastafarians live an ital lifestyle. In it’s simplest form ital means straight from the earth to the mouth. Rasta man eats roots, herbs, fruits and vegetables grown from the earth. Rasta man trusts Jah and nature but not the baldhead who deceives with his wicked tongue.

Will the rasta man live longer with his healthy living? No one but my grandmother knows that and she’s not hear to remind us of something we should all know. Everything causes cancer!

маси

That’s the intro for “Hard Times” by Run DMC from way back in 1984. I remember listening to the album shortly after it was released and I did so daily for quite some time actually. Living in Key West or Stock Island actually, I grew up listening to many of the original rap hits with my teenage friends like Dominic and Keith who were both into music in their youth and had parents who afforded them nice things like new record players and lots of records. We listened to all sorts of raw lyrics and our parents never knew what our innocent minds had been exposed to. We lived in key West, a unique paradise devoid of racism, intense peer pressure and many of the social traps that children face today but lots of us were not as wealthy as some of our neighbors and I often wondered how that happened. What kind of secret knowledge did these people possess that allowed them to become so rich and happy? I thought rich people of Key West always looked happy with all their cool new stuff like big fast boats and fancy homes and when we tagged along with them I always wondered if me or my family would ever have so many nice things and so much happiness. We were always happy enough with what we had so they must be that much more happy with all the extra things they had, right?

I now know that money does not afford a person happiness but it can make happy people more comfortable and it’s nice not being poor. I’m content with the idea I may never be wealthy but I do well enough and I keep working at it for the sake of my family and my own well being. I always remember asking myself if there were some way out of the difficult financial times faced by so many people I knew and I remember thinking that surely this was a temporary or unique situation. It could not be that people were poor all of the time and eventually a person or even a family could bring themselves out of it.

How naive a child I was and how fanciful those dreams were when I thought about my Utopian life in that perfect place free of troubles and worry? Looking back now it would seem my dreams are shattered or at least in a shambles when you consider that the closest thing to them has been realized in a 3D movie. I must have spent over $60 for tickets and popcorn to watch Avatar in 3D twice because it was so close to my childhood dreams except of course for the 10 foot tall blue creatures and floating mountains in an alien world. My utopia was right here on earth and I just had to find it, or so at least that was how the dream went.

Approaching what must be 25 years now of seeking the truth to it all I have come to realize the truth is we are in sad shape as a species and humans across the globe are soon to face the most difficult times in our history. Ever since the cold war days of apocalyptic movies like Red Dawn and Mad Max and my first full read of the Bible and understanding of the gruesome ending that so many of my fellow sinners will face under Gods wrath I have wondered if the world was coming to an end or if there was some other explanation for the madness that played out on the daily news. I mean things just seem to be getting worse and worse for everyone but the very wealthy and we are poisoning everything from water and air to our own genetic code with the chemicals and toxic lifestyles we live and the only thing most people seem to care about is themselves.

I know that in time Mother Earth will be just fine no matter how sickened she is by the prescience of us disgusting humans and the horrid waste and pollution we produce with total disregard for anyone or anything around us in the name of vanity and greed. Whatever we do Earth can heal and move on and if anything is known it is that “Genesis” can and does occur and that life will continue if not for us then for some other more adaptive or maybe plain lucky species. Maybe some other world, one free of humans, can be a Utopia but I think we humans are hell bent on destroying ourselves and everything around us in the process.

For all our intellect, education and understanding we must be the dumbest of all the animals. For being such social creatures by nature we have an outrageous number of social limitations which hold us back as a species with issues like race, religion, wealth and even sexual orientation taking precedence over the fact we are all human and members of the same family. Those of us with dreams of equality and stability for all humanity who still think we have a chance at all should seek medical attention and/or psychiatric care because you are crazy and most likely ill of mind. It is obvious we have never been more separated by church and state and race and education and wealth and so many other huge obstacles than we are right now today.

Some will call me crazy but I think we have been screwed by nature. I know it sounds weird but it’s true. I believe we were doomed to fail as a species by the very nature of our success as a species. Charles Darwin’s survival of the fittest theory has survived now for quite some time and at no time in history has it ever been more believable then now. Looking at the current status of our evolution it is obvious we are devolving and falling backwards as a species through the degradation of society and our lack of compassion for our fellow humans.

Our evolutionary drive to live no matter what, that survival of the fittest mentality that made us the ruler over all other species, has evolved into a sickness called greed which is destroying all the social gains made since the time when cavemen roamed the earth and bashed each other to death with rocks and sticks over food and water. Greed is so powerful that it has stunted or even warped our social evolution and driven us into complete madness. Humans have never been so savage as they are today and the severity and heinous nature of our actions has never been more disgusting. There is no need for me to list the many horrible things that we do to each other but the crimes against children are the most disgusting. Why must we prey on children? How is that any supreme being would allow it’s creation to destroy itself and prey upon the most innocent of all?

We live in a world controlled by a select few who have the secret knowledge which brings them wealth and power. A world where the struggle for life is about building something for someone else with the hopes you can live on the scraps they toss you for a majority of the people and the minority are doing all they can to keep it that way. The gap between the have and the have nots has become a chasm that most families will never cross as the rich have gotten richer and the poor have never been so damn poor.

America has entered what will be no doubt be an even “Greater Depression” than the one my grandmother lived though with one glaring difference. In the 30′s American families came together and took care of each other in hard times and in the first decade of the new millennium we are more likely to have an experience like Hurricane Katrina or even Haiti where total chaos and social meltdown takes place immediately after the system fails. There will be no coming together of the people in the hard times we face. Those days are gone and those people have been replaced with a new generation of less able and less caring people. We have never been more dependent upon government and the people that control us than we are right now and it gets worse and worse with each new generation.

We are well conditioned consumers with total disregard for anything other than our own immediate personal gratification. Our lack of concern and understanding for the repercussions of our actions is sickening and with every second we do more harm than good in the world. We have now gone so low as to have the concern that human traffickers are stealing babies from an earthquake stricken disaster zone in Haiti and selling them off as slaves and prostitutes.

Can you name any other animal that is so cruel and sadistic as we are? Is money so important to us that we have to sell children into these horrors?

People United for Medical Marijuana of Florida has begun an effort to have medical marijuana placed on the November 2010 Ballot so that we can finally share in the wonders of medical grade marijuana just like my friends in California have for so long now. Having just returned from the bountiful ganja fields of Jamaica to to the wastelands of Central Florida and the Mexican brown schwag so popular here it’s hard not to want to help these guys get the Florida Constitution changed so I can get a prescription for medical marijuana finally.

It would be such a sweet thing to me to get a prescription for marijuana after so many years arguing with everyone from my mom to my judges and probation officers that I needed it. Ganja is my “mentalcation” and it eases the stress and pains of everyday life for me. I enjoy puffing one for just about any reason but it’s the most fun before and after eating food and first thing in the morning. I like to wake and bake for a fresh start each day

I’m doing my part online and offline to collect signatures of registered Florida Voters for this ballot initiative and I want my friends in Florida to do the same. Become a volunteer so we can legally smoke weed in Florida in 2011.

People United for Medical Marijuana – Florida

We have collected 33,156 signatures and $9,485 in donations.

We are collecting signatures to change Florida’s constitution. Download and sign this petition to do your part. Register Now to get on our email list and receive automatic updates. Donate online with a credit card by clicking here. Become a member, find out about getting a t-shirt and stickers by visiting our membership page.

We are looking for 700 people around the state that can commit to 40 volunteer hours over the next 6 months. They are known as the PUFMM Elite and will get special privilages throughout the campaign. These people will collect 1,000 signatures each and $420 in donations before February 1, 2010. This will provide us with exactly what we need to get medical marijuana on the 2010 ballot. We do not have to wait until 2012 if YOU join this group today!
